I packed box after box, not entirely realizing what I was doing, where I was going, or what I was leaving behind. It's a strange thing to see your drawers empty, your room bare - and the rest of your house completely normal. Hours went by, days went by, until finally...
It is finished...
i have arrived!
So it's official! The short girl has officially moved into her tall city, and what a city it is!
Currently I live here:
and the view out my window is quite spectacular:
if it weren't for this little thing that runs our lives called money.
but I'd like to think that I can live my life as free-spirited as one can in this world.
And if this world wants me to live my life based on money, you can bet I'll poke this world in the eye with a stick and go find another to live in.
Cut that - no running away for me, I'll don a cape and some gloves with fringe and try to fix this world up!
Nevertheless, the charms of city lights and water make life seem infinitely more magical. Insert some Rufus Wainwright "La Complainte de la Butte"
and my life in complete.
On the fashion front, I made my mark after not but three days, when I was stopped mid stroll by a photographer who took my picture for FAB (fashion and business), a student group at the U which connects students to fashion professionals, hosts lunches, puts on style shows ect.
Said photographer claimed that my picture would be up on the site by nightfall, but as of now I have found no such photo.
I did however manage to secure a piece of evidence for ya'llz to tide you over while I wait on the photograph of my pretty little getup.
heck yea- Call me Waldo from now on! |
I don't know about you, but I think I could get used to this...
holy crap, jones, that song goes perfectly.
