Go home mother nature, you're drunk!

Ah sweet April...
filled with rain,
 rain boots,
and...SNOW?!

And we all thought the weather was joking when it snowed on April 5th...oh boy were we so very mistaken.
APRIL 10TH:
(insert small period of melt and slush)

 APRIL 13TH:
(insert small hopeful period of melt)

APRIL 18TH:

APRIL 19TH:
(insert once again and few days of glorious melting)

APRIL 22ND: (folks I kid you not...)
 same day video.
I'm sorry weather, but it's time that you and I sat down for a serious chat!

It was looking hopeless, and I had finally accepted the fact that we were coming up on the next
ice age.  What we needed were some serious:
Which by some unnatural miracle were gifted to us finally on APRIL 26TH in the form of nearly 70 degrees of glorious sun!
(took you long enough weather!)

Salut Printemps!

Today's post is based off of one of my favorite choral pieces by the wonderful Claude Debussy.
For you of you who do not speak français - the translation is quite literally: hello spring!
click video below, then read entry for the full joyous effect!
My outfit today was inspired by a multitude of wonderful spring features around me:
the return of warm colors

the movement of blustery spring breezes ~
bright blue skies
taken on my cell phone, so the sky looks rather purple, but trust me - it was deliciously AQUA!
and of course, the return of spring flowers and sweet smelling petals!

A waterfall braid for bubbling creeks and streams
Alors - salut printemps! Je t'embrasse très fort!

Fun With Photography

Thanks to the rain  everything was especially GREEN this evening - the perfect opportunity for some fun with photography!  I don't feel very writ-y so I'll just post some pictures of the fun times I had splashing in the puddles and trying not to get my camera splashed in the process!!

I discovered that I could turn into a ghost today - how cool is that?!

Rain pictures are things that would normally come with cheesy quotes about puddles, life metaphors, and my achy heart or something, so here's my cheesy poem:
The rain falls
down
just like Kirk did
when he made the climb
the climb of a mountain

A while ago my mom had given me this really big shirt - but it had a cool pattern on it, so I pinned it and called it an outfit!

Just making sure I don't take myself too seriously!

I also tried to take pictures of the fireflies because they were so gall dern perrrty!  Unfortunately this is what about 99.9% of my pictures looked like:
woot fireflies! can't you see them everywhere?

Many mosquito bites later I stumbled back to the house, with one sad photo to show that there actually were fireflies out tonight.  Either that or I witnessed a UFO!
