I've got OVERALLS!

That's right - my own little slice of Americana.  The classic, the versatile, the down-to-earth overalls need to be making a comeback...
Honestly overalls stand for everything I look for in clothing:

They can be stylin' should you wish them to be -

They are ever so wearable, and you can leap high buildings, scamper up trees and frolic through fields in them no problemo -

You can mix them with just about any style of clothing/accesories possible, and somehow it ends up working -

Three CHEERS for overalls!

September 23rd!

I've realized that it's quite apparent that about 90% of my wardrobe is due in part to another person, or in my case a generous donor (usually a few sizes larger than me)
SO
I've decided to start crediting my sources - you know, like you would in a good research paper to make yourself seem more informed and knowledgable!
I mean we could all use a little extra credibility now and then right?
Actually
The real reason I'm going to attempt to start crediting my outfits, is basically because I think tis pretty nifty that most of my outfits are in a way "recycled" or hand-me-downs - and I feel the need to prove to the fast regions of the inter webs that "hand-me-downs" can be fabulous and completely wear-worthy!

Some Details:
shirt -
 shoes -

CREDITS:
Shirt...an original mom piece
belt...thanks again to my mother dearest
pants...authentic 70s beauties from Z's mom
socks...actually purchased somewhere (*gasp*)
shoes...heck yes to goodwill
coat...swap item
scarf...another mom piece

I feel like I should here-by dub this outfit the "Mom-fit" or something!

Happy Fall!...

Outfits and Inspiration

You got to be inspired by something right?  Incase your are feeling dull in this turning-fall-weather, I present to you inspiration I have found on-line or in person of the new season!
Because I'm busy, and have not posted a lot of outfits lately - I bring you these with good wishes for colorful leaves and hot cider in mind!

HEADSCARVES are a win - I just haven't figured out how to wear them yet!

I DO NOT KNOW what is going on here, but I deeply appreciate the flawy fabric with the flowers, as well as the detain on the top (don't look to hard she's bearing it all for you!)

HATS in case you don't know: I'm bringing them back.  Question is:
where to get pretty crafted vintage hats? I'm experimenting with making some as of now.

A QUICK FIX for boring pants, plus a nautical flair!

NOT EXACTLY FALL, but I really like one sleeved garments (if you couldn't tell from dress up your dresses post...)

BLACK LACE is so good, you can use it on anything!  Plus it makes for a killer stencil if you feel like doing spray paint patterns!

HAIRBOWS make auditioning for choir a little more fun...

ANOTHER skirt from a mans button-down.  Thanks large men who like pink, you make my wardrobe a little more fun!

BEADED ROSES seem like the perfect thing for a easy but awesome gift (sorry anyone if I make and give you one of these.  just pretend you didn't read this!)

A MORE INTRICATE TAKE on the mens button-down.  This actually involves some sewing, but I love the buttons at the top!

HECK YES to bags made of recycled sails! I feel like it should fold out or something so you can sail down the street!

THAT'S ALL FOR NOW!
