Dress up your Dresses!

Alright, so I'm in the middle of the project, and need the help of some volunteers from the audience.
*cough you cough*
I got this nifty little number at St Vincent on quarter day because I thought it had potential.  Here are my visions for it - please help me pick one!
sorry for the creepy headless mannequin, I didn't want anyone distracted by my goofy expressions.

Full sleeves with and w/out shoulder:

Strap sleeves with & w/out shoulder:

 From the Back (full sleeves):

Heres what I've done:

the roses used to be all sewn in this jumbo clump on the back of the dress - it was pretty weird.  I have pinned them to the shoulder, unraveled one and twirled it down the sleeve pinning it in place.  I also added a belt because for now I don't feel like taking it in quite yet!  So general public, this is your time to shine!  What do you think I should do with this dress?

then there's the question of whether it matters which shoulder is on and which is off...

The Story of Stuff

Just a quick note to everyone out there.  I would highly recommend taking a few minuets to watch and take note of the great videos going on over at:
I really believe that they are on to something, and think we could all benefit from a little critical analysis of what this lady is trying to get across.  I was fortunate enough to have an absolutely genius college research and writing professor who had us watch The Story of Stuff in class - now I have just been made aware of the newest video: The Story of Cosmetics.  I thought this video was a great follow up to my recent post about lip stain and the cosmetics industry.  Take a look at this video and let me know what you think.  Better yet, take a look at this video and tell me what you are doing to change the current toxic rut we have found ourselves in!

For those of you interested in more information about safe cosmetics, you should check out
this cosmetics database (thanks to Rachel Niketopoulos for telling me about this site!)

Back in Time

Some days it's good to remember.  Even if you weren't actually there.
A month ago, Z and I took a trip down memory lane at a classic car show...even if they weren't our own memories!

Two decades in one day - now that's what I call successful!

The 70s
The "Migrating Whale"?
Doesn't get much more classic than than (and appropriately named!)

'76 or '74 corvette I do believe.  so spiffy!

Real genuine 70s leprecons!

 the 80s
as depicted by the infamous Zothiakus

and of course, other amazing relics from the past.
